Welcome Everyone !
We are from Group 11 of e-SULAM and has been given a topic regarding Regulatory Framework for cases on Partial Intestacy in Malaysia. There are few stages that will be completed by us in order to deliver the best outcome for our topic.
About
e-SULAM is an online service learning intended for students to participate in a structured service activity that meets identified community needs. Through this process, we will start with the first stage where we will conduct an investigation using survey and interview to achieve a basic understanding on regard to our topic. Then, we will move forward toward preparation stage by organizing and develop skills to carry out the plan. During the action stage, the plan will be execute by posting a poster inviting the community to our live talk. After those stages, the reflection will be done to summarize what have been learnt and this project is concluded by the demonstration stage where we proposed plans for future e-SULAM practice.
As an introduction to our topic, we will explain briefly about intestacy. Intestacy occurs when a person dies without leaving any will. However, there are certain scenarios which will cause the person to die as an intestate too, regardless of the will created. For instance, the will is not validly executed. Nevertheless, partial intestacy happens when a person dies intestate and when there is residue of estates which are not listed or mentioned in the will. The law that will govern on the distribution of the estate will be classified as the law of intestacy. Intestacy rule explains that the distribution of the deceased's estate will be distributed among the immediate family of the deceased.

Also, a big thanks dedicated to one of our team members, Nattawynn A/L Su Wit for his hard work and dedication in conducting this project. Initially this e-SULAM project was conducted by the six of us as group members but unfortunately, he withdrawn himself to allow us to fulfill the requirement of this contest. His sacrifice will not be forgotten.
